Demonstrations have continued throughout Lebanon since 17 October, directly challenging the current power and political class.
Yesterday, the demonstration in Tripoli took the form of a gigantic celebration, gathering an impressive crowd in el-nour square. In the morning, demonstrators came to clean the square and during the day, volunteers came to check the cleanliness of the place. Rescue teams were stationed around the square and teams of young people in yellow fluorescent vests were there to ensure that everything goes well and distribute water. Tents have been set up in the grass on the central roundabout. The occupation of the square is being organized.
The demonstration yesterday, and the party, with a DJ on a balcony above the square, continued until late at night.
